Join BFA as we celebrate "America's 250th Birthday" at our biennial reunion and member meeting, April 30 to May 3, 2026, Millington, Tennessee, a suburb of Memphis. ALL ARE WELCOME-MEMBER OR GUESTS!
Gather with friends, both old and new, and Burleson family members (no matter the spelling) who descend from all branches of the larger Burleson family of America. During our time together, we will continue to learn about and honor Burleson patriots who helped gain independence by serving in the American Revolution. We will also recognize members who generously volunteer their time and research talents for the betterment of the family, and gain a deeper understanding of our fantastic family's history.
Thanks to the warm hospitality of the descendants of William Lafayette Burlison, 1832-1878, those who attend will have the option to enjoy a Friday field trip to visit the Burlison community, a Burlison cemetery, and a working cotton gin, owned and operated by his descendants.
Saturday will be a busy, filled with a business meeting, games, a tea party, music, special speakers, a silent auction, a group photo, door prizes, memorabilia, lunch, and a delicious evening banquet.
All ages are welcome, and youth are encouraged to attend. We look forward to seeing you there!
Schedule
Thursday evening, April 30: Registration opens at 6:00 PM, followed by a business meeting of the board of directors, while others are visiting.
Friday, May 1: Optional Field Trip or visit Memphis sites of interest.
Saturday, May 2: Speakers, afternoon tea party, games, silent auction, door prizes, lunch, and evening buffet dinner.
Sunday, May 3: Check-out by 11:00 AM.
Reunion Hotel
Our host will be the Holiday Inn Express, 5090 Copper Creek Blvd., Millington, Tennessee. The hotel is in an area that lends itself to visiting Memphis's many sites, sounds, and culinary delights. It is also a short drive to the Burlison, Tennessee area, where we will travel during an optional Friday field trip. The reunion rate for a two queen-bed room is $149 + tax. One king-bed will be $139 + tax. There is free on-site parking. Breakfast is provided at the hotel, and other food venues are conveniently located nearby for meals not included in the registration fees.

Hotel Reservations
A block of rooms has been reserved at the reunion rate for Wednesday, October 29, through Sunday, May 3. Reservations at the reunion rate must be made by March 25, 2026. After this date, all rooms left in the block will be returned to the hotel’s general inventory. Details for cancellations will be included in your reservation booking with the hotel. Reunion Registration
$100 per person (includes meeting room rental fee, and all scheduled Saturday activities and meals. Friday field trip expenses and meals are on your own. If you stay at the Holiday Inn Express, breakfast is provided. Your lunch choices will be available on the reservation form. The evening buffet will have something for everyone, but please inform us of any food-related allergies or if you are a vegetarian.
$50 per person (includes meeting room rental fee, and all scheduled Saturday activities and meals). Friday field trip expenses and meals are on your own. If you stay at the Holiday Inn Express, breakfast is provided.
$50 per person (One-day event registration includes lunch and dinner on Saturday). Your lunch choices will be available on the reservation form. The evening buffet will have something for everyone, but please inform us of any food-related allergies or if you are a vegetarian.
$35 per person
$25 per person. Please sign up if you need a ride for the optional field trip on Friday. We must have at least 12 passengers. If we do not meet that minimum two weeks before the event, your money will be reimbursed after the reunion, and you must make other arrangements. If you choose to visit other venues in Memphis on this date, you must also make your own transportation plans.
